Thrifting is a great adventure. Luckily, living in San Diego, CA has made thrifting an easy haul, with second hand stores found at almost every corner of the city.
Have you seen a great thrift haul and thought…
“How are they finding these cute clothes?”
“How much time did they spend finding all these items?”
“Why even bother?”
Well, as experience vary through every thrift adventure, I can’t quite answer the first two questions. But I can definitely tell you the benefits of thrifting and the positive impacts it has on our environment through sustainability!
Thrifting helps the environment.
You are reducing your carbon footprint when you purchase second hand goods. Clothes eventually end up in land-fills. Thrifting is essentially recycling!
Save your wallet.
Thrifting giving you the opportunity to find incredible brands at incredibly reduced prices. Plus, many second hand stores donate a portion of their profits to charities!
Expand your closet.
Many of my friends, myself included, love expressing our unique style through clothes and accessories. Thrifting can help expand your closet with one-of-a-kind or vintage wear that you won’t find at most department stores.
